Non-conformities are recorded, their root cause investigated and the process updated. In practice: when you reorder the same job six months later, you receive the same result as the first run.

ISO 14001 requires an organisation to systematically measure, reduce and document the environmental impact of its operations. It covers a broad field — from energy and water consumption to waste segregation, chemical use and legal compliance.

For us this means optimising cutting layouts to minimise waste, directing production offcuts to recycling, using water-based inks and monitoring energy consumption on a regular basis. Targets are set annually.

BRCGS Packaging Materials is a widely recognised retail standard defining the production conditions for packaging that will contact food and sensitive consumer products. It sets detailed requirements for hygiene, foreign body control, traceability and site security.

In practice this means the production area is divided into hygiene zones, personnel entry and exit is governed by rules, raw material batches remain traceable through to dispatch, and any affected batch can be recalled quickly should an issue arise. For brands serving the food sector it is often a prerequisite.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is the international certification system verifying that paper and board raw material originates from responsibly managed forests. It considers the ecological continuity of forests together with the rights of forest workers and the interests of local communities.

Cebir Packaging holds FSC Chain of Custody scope, meaning certified material is tracked separately throughout the supply chain and prevented from mixing with uncertified stock.
